The husky farm is at the end of a snowy forest road, the wilderness lodge by a frozen lake, the dark sky for the northern lights far away from the street lights. You need a car that gets you there \u2013 every day, at \u221225 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list sc674f3 fw-guide-list\">\n<li>Ineos Grenadier: permanent four-wheel drive, low range, three locking differentials and studded tyres. Built for exactly these roads.<\/li>\n\n<li>Land Rover Discovery: permanent four-wheel drive, low range, two locking differentials and Nordic winter tyres. The main roads are ploughed and gritted every day, and the locals drive them all winter.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list sc674f3 fw-guide-list\">\n<li>Winter tyres are compulsory from 1 December to 31 March in winter conditions \u2013 our cars have them, the Grenadier with studs.<\/li>\n\n<li>Drive in daylight. Plan 250\u2013400 km a day and arrive before dark \u2013 in midwinter the days are short.<\/li>\n\n<li>Reindeer and moose on the road are normal up north. Slow down when you see them, they often stand still or run along the road.<\/li>\n\n<li>Fuel: fill up when the tank is half empty. In Lapland there can be 100 km and more between two stations.<\/li>\n\n<li>Many fuel stations are unmanned and open around the clock: you pay at the pump by card with PIN.<\/li>\n\n<li>Countries: you may drive our cars in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/the4wildcompany.com\/wp-content\/themes\/fourwild\/assets\/img\/w-studs.webp\" alt=\"Studded winter tyre on our Grenadier\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading s92a2cb fw-guide-h\" id=\"l-cape\">The North Cape in winter<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"s614808 wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, you can drive to the North Cape in winter. The last stretch of the E69, from the Skarsv\u00e5g junction to the North Cape plateau, is driven in a convoy behind a snowplough when there is snow and wind.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list sc674f3 fw-guide-list\">\n<li>The convoy leaves at fixed times several times a day. In the 2025\/26 winter, for example, at 08:30, 10:00, 12:00, 14:30 and 19:30 towards the North Cape.<\/li>\n\n<li>Times can change and the road can close in storms.
