Our overland story in Sweden
The 4Wild Company grew out of a love for Sweden’s quiet forests and remote gravel roads. We want to share that sense of freedom with travellers who enjoy nature and simple adventures.
We rent fully equipped 4×4s – and we look after them ourselves. Every car is serviced, wired and checked by us before each trip, so we know every bolt (and our kids love to lend a hand). On top come route ideas, local knowledge and support while you’re out there – so families, couples and solo travellers can explore the wilderness without stress.

Choose between three off-road vehicles – an Ineos Grenadier, a Land Rover Discovery or a classic Jeep Cherokee XJ. Each comes with a rooftop tent, full camping equipment and our off-grid know-how. All you bring is clothes and food.
How it started
In 2023 we moved from Germany to Sweden, drawn by the northern forests and lakes. Travelling outdoors as a family showed us what makes a trip safe, simple and memorable – and that is what The 4Wild Company is built on.

Every car is prepared by us. We support you before and during your trip, and we happily share the hidden places we’ve found along the way.

Why I do this – Ronny’s story
I’m Ronny. About 15 years ago I caught the overlanding bug – first in Germany, later on the tracks of the Balkans. Then as now, it was mainly about one thing for me: real time outdoors in nature with my kids, taking a deep breath and feeling how little you actually need to be happy.
Over the years I learned what really matters off the tarmac. To be honest, we all tend to haul far too much along outdoors. The essentials are simple: spending time together, lighting a campfire in the evening, sitting by a lake, playing cards and clearing your head – far away from the computer and the everyday rush.
Why Scandinavia? The endless forests, the fine gravel tracks, the countless lakes and above all the arctic calm in winter have always fascinated me. The wide open spaces of Scandinavia give you room for real freedom. And the best part: it is safe, easy to reach and has first-class infrastructure.

Ben – part of the team
Ben is my eldest and has often been along already. From summer 2027 he is part of the team for the whole season: he welcomes our guests, takes care of servicing the cars and is learning every part of the business step by step.
He is very good with his hands – and in his element whenever dirt, mud and engines are involved.
Our base in Dalarna
