- Rental: driving licence details of the drivers, payment details for the booking deposit, remaining amount and security deposit, information about damage, tolls and fines.
- Contact form and e-mail: name, e-mail address and your message.
- Website use: IP address, browser, device, pages visited and time of visit (server logs, security plugins and – with your consent – Google Analytics).
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Handling your booking request and the rental contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Bookkeeping and tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Answering your questions (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
- Security and smooth operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in a secure website).
- Statistics with Google Analytics (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent).
4. Services we use
- Hosting and e-mail: our website and e-mails run on servers of our hosting provider in the EU. Booking and contact e-mails are sent through our e-mail account at Strato AG (Germany).
- Booking Calendar (WordPress plugin): booking requests are stored in our website database. The data is not shared with the plugin developer.
- WPForms (WordPress plugin): messages from the contact form are stored in our website database and sent to us by e-mail.
- CookieYes: shows the cookie banner and stores your choice in a cookie, so we know which cookies you have accepted.
- Google Analytics (via Site Kit by Google): only after your consent. Google Ireland Ltd. collects anonymised usage data (shortened IP address, pages visited, device). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
- Wordfence and Limit Login Attempts (security plugins): store IP addresses of visitors and login attempts to block attacks. Wordfence checks IP addresses against a list of known attackers of Defiant Inc. (USA).
- TranslatePress: translates the website on our own server. No personal data is passed on.
5. Videos and external links
Our videos are not embedded. The preview images are stored on our own server; only when you click a video you are taken to YouTube. The same applies to links to Google Maps, Google reviews, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Once you open these sites, the privacy policies of those providers apply.
6. Sharing of data
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary: with our bank and payment providers for payments, with insurers in case of damage, with authorities and toll operators where required by law (e.g. fines and road tolls), and with the service providers named in section 4.
7. How long we keep data
- Booking and rental data: as long
- as needed for the contract, then up to 7 years because of Swedish bookkeeping rules.
- Booking requests that do not lead to a rental: deleted after 12 months.
- Contact form messages: deleted when the matter is settled, at the latest after 2 years.
- Google Analytics: up to 14 months.
- Security logs: a few weeks.
8. Cookies
