General Terms and Conditions (AGB) – The 4 Wild Company

These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by The 4 Wild Company, including vehicle rentals and webshop purchases. By booking a rental vehicle, purchasing products through our webshop or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

The 4 Wild Company operates in accordance with Swedish law.


2. Scope of Services

The 4 Wild Company provides:

Vehicle Rentals
Rental of overlanding and expedition vehicles including optional expedition and camping equipment.

Webshop Sales
Sale and delivery of products offered in our online store.


3. Eligibility for Services

To use our services customers must:

• Be at least 18 years old unless a higher minimum age is required for specific vehicles
• Hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for the rented vehicle category
• Accept these Terms
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

The 4 Wild Company reserves the right to refuse rentals without stating reasons.


4. Vehicle Rentals

A. Booking and Payment

Booking Confirmation

Reservations become binding upon receipt of payment or agreed booking deposit.

Rental Fees

Rental prices include VAT and mandatory basic insurance unless otherwise stated.

Additional charges may apply including but not limited to:

• Extra mileage
• Late return fees
• Cleaning costs
• Missing equipment
• Damage costs
• Recovery costs

Payment Methods

Payments may be made using accepted cards, bank transfer and methods displayed on our website.


B. Security Deposit and Insurance Excess

A refundable security deposit of EUR 1,500 must be provided before vehicle handover.

The deposit serves as collateral for:

• Damage
• Missing equipment
• Excessive cleaning
• Contract violations
• Additional costs arising from the rental

The security deposit does not limit customer liability.

The renter’s insurance excess amounts to EUR 2,500 per claim event.

If damages exceed the security deposit amount the renter remains liable up to the applicable excess and according to these Terms.

The deposit will be returned after vehicle inspection and confirmation of proper return condition.


C. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers must present:

• Valid identification
• Valid driver’s license

The renter is responsible for:

• Compliance with traffic regulations
• Monitoring vehicle condition
• Checking fluid levels when necessary
• Proper vehicle operation

The renter shall immediately stop vehicle operation and notify The 4 Wild Company in case of:

• Warning lights
• Technical faults
• Abnormal noises
• Suspected damage

Continued operation despite obvious defects may result in full liability.


D. Vehicle Return

Vehicles must be returned:

• On time
• In substantially the same condition as delivered
• With all supplied equipment

Late return fees may apply.

Vehicle condition may be documented by photographs and/or video during handover and return.


E. Normal Wear

Acceptable wear includes minor unavoidable signs of normal use.

Normal wear does not include:

• Deep scratches
• Paint damage
• Dents
• Broken components
• Windshield damage
• Interior damage
• Burns
• Missing equipment
• Excessive contamination
• Preventable damage


F. Expedition Equipment and Inventory

Vehicles may include expedition and camping equipment.

The exact equipment is documented separately in the handover protocol and inventory list.

The renter is responsible for returning all supplied items complete and functional.

Awnings and roof tents must be properly secured and fully retracted before moving the vehicle. Damage to awnings caused by wind or driving with deployed equipment is considered gross negligence and is not covered by insurance.

Missing, lost, stolen or damaged items will be charged at replacement cost based on current market value including procurement and transport costs where applicable.

The 4 Wild Company may deduct such costs from the security deposit without limiting further claims.


G. Breakdown, Recovery and Assistance

In case of:

• Accident
• Breakdown
• Immobilisation
• Recovery requirement
• Technical issue

The 4 Wild Company must be contacted immediately and remains the primary contact point.

The renter may not independently arrange:

• Repairs
• Towing
• Recovery services
• Third-party roadside assistance

unless expressly authorised.

Recovery, towing, extraction, transport and assistance costs caused by customer actions, negligence or contractual violations shall be borne by the renter.


H. Permitted Countries

Vehicle operation is permitted in:

• Sweden
• Norway
• Finland

Travel to other countries requires prior written approval.

Unauthorised border crossings may affect insurance validity and result in renter liability.


I. GPS Tracking

Vehicles may be equipped with GPS tracking systems for:

• Theft prevention
• Vehicle recovery
• Fleet management
• Operational security

Personal data processing follows GDPR requirements and our Privacy Policy.


J. Camping and Legal Compliance

The renter is solely responsible for complying with:

• Camping regulations
• Environmental laws
• Fire restrictions
• Access limitations
• Traffic laws

The 4 Wild Company accepts no responsibility for fines or penalties caused by customer violations.


K. Vehicle Cleaning

Vehicles shall be returned in reasonable condition.

Additional cleaning fees may apply for excessive contamination including:

• Excessive mud
• Strong odours
• Smoke residue
• Food contamination
• Biological waste
• Excessive interior dirt
• Pet contamination


L. Insurance

Mandatory basic liability insurance is included unless otherwise stated.

Optional insurance products may be offered separately.

Insurance coverage may become void in case of:

• Gross negligence
• Contract violations
• Unauthorised vehicle use
• Unauthorised travel areas


M. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by Customer

The decisive date is the written cancellation receipt date.

≥ 90 days before rental start: booking deposit of EUR 150 retained

89–60 days: 20%

59–30 days: 25%

29–15 days: 50%

14–7 days: 75%

Less than 7 days / No-show: 100%


Cancellation by The 4 Wild Company

If a confirmed booking cannot be fulfilled due to unforeseen events including:

• Mechanical failure
• Previous customer damage
• Theft
• Vehicle unavailability

and no replacement can be provided:

The customer receives a full refund of payments made.

To the extent permitted by applicable Swedish law The 4 Wild Company shall not be liable for indirect costs including:

• Flights
• Hotels
• Ferry tickets
• Activities
• Alternative transport

Customers are strongly advised to maintain travel insurance.


5. Webshop Purchases

A. Orders

Products are presented as accurately as possible.

Minor deviations may occur.

Orders become binding upon payment.


B. Pricing and Payment

Prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.

Payment is due immediately.


C. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only.

Delays do not automatically entitle customers to compensation.

Customers are responsible for correct delivery information.


D. Returns

EU customers may exercise statutory withdrawal rights within 14 days.

Returned products must be:

• Unused
• In original packaging

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless legally required otherwise.


6. Liability

Customers remain liable for damage caused by:

• Misuse
• Negligence
• Contract violations
• Improper vehicle operation

The 4 Wild Company shall not be liable for delays caused by:

• Weather
• Road closures
• Traffic conditions
• Government actions

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights under Swedish consumer protection law.


7. Force Majeure

The 4 Wild Company is not liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control including:

• Natural disasters
• Extreme weather
• Strikes
• Government actions
• Mechanical failures
• Supply disruptions


8. Complaints and Disputes

Complaints may be submitted to:

Swedish law applies exclusively.

Disputes shall be resolved by Swedish courts or where applicable by the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).


9. Privacy and Data Protection
